The homepage of the One Beat PR website, viewed on a desktop screen. In the top-left corner is the site's logo, in a pastel red, which consists of a cartoony illustration of the head of a person, with eyes closed, rosy cheeks and pigtails, wearing headphones, the lead of which connects with the joined-up handwriting of 'One Beat', which in turn connects to a cassette Walkman. Directly opposite the logo on the right-hand side is the site menu, containing links to 'About', 'Current Roster', 'Past Campaigns' and 'Contact'. Underneath is a wavy, pastel-red line that separates the header from the rest of the page. In the main content section, the text 'New to our roster' in a chunky, slightly seventies red serif font sits alongside a large red circular motif to its left and a red arrow motif pointing to the right containing the words 'Our Full Roster', to its right. Below this, three square images with red borders sit in a row, each with text below. The first image is of five people standing in a line in front of a beige curtain; the text reads 'screensaver—Upset the Rhythm'. The second image is of a person with long blonde hair, wearing a red dress and holding a bunch of yellow flowers in their hand, standing in front of a shadowy, dark blue background; the text reads 'Locate S,1—Captured Tracks.' The third image is of a person standing in front of some red and brown patterned wallpaper, facing to the right but looking back into the camera. She has long brown hair with blonde highlights and is wearing a brown top with what appear to be sewn on patches. The text reads 'Shangri-Lass—Redundant Span Records'.

The background is made up of a large expanse of blue sky, dotted with white clouds, and what looks like a petrol station below. The person has dark brown, shoulder-length hair, red lipstick, is wearing an orange turtleneck jumper and stares impassively into the camera.

Many happy returns

To celebrate their tenth birthday, One Beat asked us to redesign the site we built over half a decade ago, in what were certainly the ‘days of yore’, and when this cherished music PR agency was still a solo affair.

Now a dynamic duo, weve matched One Beats growth with a brighter, confident tri-tone palette that screams Im 10, and an aesthetic approach replete with pictographic nods to musical equipment and ephemera. The layout is led by the sweeping use of New Spirit, a timeless, tempered and aptly grown-up cousin to pop-culture omnipresents like Cooper Black.

Below this is a square photograph of the band 'En Attendant Ana' sitting against a pure white background, all entangled with each other and staring into the camera. Below their photo is their name and the words 'Trouble in Mind'. The top of a third image is just about visible before being cut off by the image's crop. In the bottom-right corner is a red circle with a white border and slight drop-shadow, which contains the word 'Menu'.
